Magical Mole Andrea Rademan La Feria de los Moles, the biggest annual festival of Mexican gastronomy in the United States, takes place on October 1 at Grand Park, 200 N. Grand Ave. in downtown L.A. from 10:00 am until 7:00 pm at Grand Park. Entrance is free and food is available for purchase. This is the 10th Anniversary celebration and you can follow the festivities at #FeriaDeLosMoles2017 or https://youtu.be/ikSgPI5gltY. The recent events in Mexico, the 7.1 earthquake that occurred on 19 September leaving devastation and deadly consequences for the country led the Unión de Poblanos en el Exterior (UPEXT), organizers of the Feria de los Moles, to perform an act of solidarity with Mexico, reuniting immigrants in Los Angeles with family members in Mexico who experienced the Puebla earthquake firsthand. The families will arrive directly from the airport to reunite with their families at Grand Park. Two beloved entertainers serve as Masters of Ceremony: Eye on L.A.’s Tina Malave and actor Jaime Aymerich. This delicious event includes a special presentation on the origin of mole, a gastronomic debate amongst representatives from Puebla & Oaxaca (Mexican states both famous for their mole), and tastings of the different mole styles for all in attendance. From Puebla, Chef Liz Galicia, will share her famous vegan mole and the state of Oaxaca will share its pottery made of black mud/clay. There will be traditional native attire from Puebla and Oaxaca, as well as the opening of the Mole Museum. http://www.feriadelosmoles.com/ • Twitter: Twitter@feriadelosmoles • Facebook: Feria de Los Moles
